Meet Navya from Delhi, she's visiting Jaipur for the month for a project. She's tired of eating the same restaurant cooked meals and is craving an authentic home cooked dining experience.

Homeplates seeks to connect the two.
Research
As part of an academic project, we were conducting ethnographic research to understand the relation between a place, it's people and it's food.
Halfway through the research we stumbled upon the term 'home chef'. The following research led us to university hostellers, away from home for studies.
Their are multiple talented home chefs in India who never get to monetize or showcase their skills to more people. And their are tourists and hostellers seeking comforting homemade food during their travel in a new place. This conceptual app connects the two parties.
Ideation
After multiple brainstorming sessions we decided upon the idea of a platform that allows home chefs to host dining events for people to join in.
Think airbnb but instead of staying the night you stay for a meal
With a clear vision in mind we moved on to building up the base for the experience of the app and overarching service.
